Here’s a unique way to remove markings
We use marking tools for all kinds of things when sewing.
Drawing stitch lines across HSTs so you can do two at once, pre-marking your quilting design, or marking a start and stop point for y seams.
The lines sometimes need a little extra effort to get out. Cindy Sherman posted this tip in our Super Fun Quilting and Sewing Club on Facebook and we just had to share!
‘I found it quite challenging to completely remove the white marking pen that I use to mark my quilt lines on dark fabric, so I dipped a clean battery operated toothbrush into water and used it on the lines. Worked perfectly!’
Great trick, thanks Cindy! Just be sure to reserve one head with your sewing supplies so you don’t accidentally use it on your teeth after 😉
Happy stitching!
